Art is a series of processes, including but not limited to only the creation aspect. Just as important, but often overlooked, is its presentation. In this digital age, art is more often than not processed digitally to be recreated or displayed online, so the age of grand gold frames and heavy glass coverings has been replaced with coded padding on the sides of 8x8 matrices. In this research, a Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) matrix is edited to take an original image, decompress it, and recompress it to a target file size while losing minimal quality. Through using this code, artists can much more easily store, upload, or transfer digitalized works, without losing the qualities that make the work unique.
